Hear me out

Dialogue was actually a lot of fun and probably my favorite assignment out of the whole class. Finding the audio was a tad difficult because I watch a lot of movies/tv shows. So narrowing it down was a bit of a challenge. But I was rewatching Lucifer and there's just something about the way him says his name. I could go on and on about how much I love this show and Tom Ellis, but anyway! Once I got the audio I had to import it, at first I didn't know why it wouldn't import, but I had to change the format from MP4 to MP3, easy fix. Once I had it in Harmony I needed to figure out how I was gonna act it out. Sadly, I was twinning too much, but I was going for emphasis on Lucifer announcing who he was. I'm not much of an actor, but there's just so many ways you can deliver a line. Accents are fun too. Like. Are you gonna nod your head here? Squint your eyes? Do a gesture with your hand? The possibilities are endless! And then there's the design of the character. Are you gonna go realistic? Anime? Cartoony? Lucky for me there was an animated part of Lucifer so I just used that style. Cause I know I would've spent days just trying to settle on a style. Figuring out which part you're gonna do first was hard. I did go with the head as our teacher suggested, but idk still hard. Cause then you have to match up the rest of the body to it. idk Definitely gonna have to practice this more and see which way works best for me. I guess it depends on what the character is saying/doing so you know where to put the most emphasis. So head, facial features then body. Oddly enough, doing the actual mouth movements was easy, did that last. And phrasing it was fun  too cause you can use the same mouth shape for multiple frames if the character is saying something and it sounds/looks similar to the previous sound. It was just really cool to see a character actually say something. I'll have to practice acting out lines more. I definitely wanna do little animations of characters I like saying certain lines. Also, I have to keep in mind that I can push the character when it comes to movements and progression. But for my first time, I think I did pretty good!
